Sylvan Road, Snaresbrook

Sylvan Road, acquired back in 2019, is currently a single residential dwelling occupying a large plot in the middle of a residential area. At the heart of Wanstead, the site is particularly attractive as it is just a 2-minute walk from Snaresbrook Station, Zone 4 on London Underground’s busy Central Line.

There were many developers looking to refurbish the existing dwelling and build a second dwelling on the same plot. However, Flint came with a larger vision for the site. Flint’s team of planners and architects obtained planning permission for a nine residential unit scheme comprising one, two and three-bedroom apartments sharing a communal terrace.

The planning application, which went to Redbridge Council’s planning committee, was challenging but was ultimately successful.
